R.M.Williams Workshop, Percy Street Store & Museum

Travel in VIP style with your private guide to the R.M.Williams workshop, where your R.M. host welcomes you for an insider excursion through the original site. You may see leather being selected and cut, components stitched and shaped, and boots finished by hand through edging, burnishing and polishing, with time to speak with a bootmaker, leather specialist, finisher or quality lead as the day allows. In the museum and boot gallery, explore heritage pieces, early tools and design milestones that trace the brand’s South Australian story.

Over morning tea with your guide and host, hear the details that bring the craft to life, then enjoy a personal fitting for your own pair of handcrafted Craftsman boots*, valued up to AUD $699.

Availability

Tour operates only Tuesday to Friday excluding Public Holidays and subject availability at time of booking request.

Tour Conditions

This tour is available to guests aged 18 years and over.
A general level of fitness is required, as the tour involves approximately 90-100 minutes of walking and standing.
Enclosed, comfortable footwear must be worn at all times.
For safety reasons, guests are kindly asked to follow all instructions provided by venue staff and The Tailor Touring Guide
Guests will be required to wear safety glasses, disposable ear plugs, high-visibility vests, and headsets. Storage of bulky items such as bags and coats may be required.
Photography, video recording, and social media use, including posting or live streaming, are not permitted during the tour at R.M.Williams Workshop. We appreciate your cooperation in respecting venue policies and staff privacy

* The R.M.Willams Craftsman boots that are included in this tour cannot be exchanged/substituted/upgraded/returned for any other items at the R.M.Williams Percy Street store (or any other R.M.Williams Retail or Concept stores).

*This tour operates on private basis, the per person rate is dependent upon the total number of guests travelling. Prices are valid until 31st March 2026 and subject to availability at the time of booking request. Blackout dates and seasonal surcharges may apply and prices are subject to change.

Full Day Option

Upgrade option available. This tour can be extended to a full day tour, including a private tour at Penfolds Magill Estate, wine tasting, and three-course lunch prepared by Magill Estate Kitchen.
